#24 Return (The Turning Point): Earth (Obedient) over Thunder (Action)
Judgment: “It furthers one to have somewhere to go. Success.”
“Though the path of return is developmental, nevertheless people accept the false and neglect the real; most do not know the return of the real. If you know it, it is near at hand – the mind of Tao appears, the human mentality retreats, and you can exit and enter the midst of yin and yang without being adversely affected by yin and yang. It is necessary to know the timing of return; it is not to be forcibly sought before the proper time, and should not be missed once the time has come. Only then can one find the real.” Taoist I Ching (The transformations of yin and yang account for the transitory world. One enters the flux at the right time – not too soon or late – but is not affected by it.)
Third line changing: “Repeated Return. Danger: No Blame.” No blame in leaving and returning to a project. The Danger is in leaving the Project for good.
One can leave the Path a thousand times, but if one keeps returning mastery and transformation eventually occur naturally. This means to proceed on course even when at a loss – residing in the faith that a Vortex of opportunity will open up eventually.
Fifth Line Changing: “Attentive return. No remorse.”
No shelter in trivial excuses. Confess your faults rather than holding onto pride.
“Flexible receptivity in proper balance, following appropriate guidelines, proceeding in an orderly fashion, acting on the basis of what is fundamentally inherent and not wishing for what is outside of it, this is called being attentive in returning.” Taoist I Ching

A perfect relation with the fire cooking the water. However caution against complacency. Purify and nourish the soul to prevent cultural conditioning from acting up and causing problems. Tend the fire. Don’t over or under do it. Take precautions – sensing with the heart.
