One thing leads to another.
A personal failure leads to a topo map (pictured below). The topo map results in an exploration into the nature of mountains. This leads to glaciers, volcanoes and tectonic plates. By the end of my investigation, I realize I hadn't known mountains at all.
The accumulated knowledge resulted in this book.
