Master Ni's Post-Meditation Warm-up

Master Ni taught a meditation seminar in February 1997. He suggested meditating for a minimum of a half an hour - preferably twice a day. Upon completion he recommended these warm up exercises to reawaken the body’s energy channels.

 

Massage both eyes with both palms in opposing directions, i.e. up outside, down inside, 12 times.

Massage the nose with the fingers, top to bottom, 12 times.

Massage both ears with both palms, front to back, horizontally 12 times.

Massage both ears with thumb and forefinger, top to bottom, 12 times.

Massage the crown of head with fingertips, back to front, 12 times.

Massage the face with both palms, top to bottom, 12 times.

Massage the front of the neck with both palms, top to bottom, 12 times.

Massage the back of the neck with fingertips, bottom to top, 12 times.

Massage both shoulders with both palms in opposing directions, i.e. up outside, down inside, 12 times.

Massage the chest with both hands, top to bottom, 12 times.

Massage the stomach in circles around the navel with both hands together, bottom, right, up, left, down right, 36 times.

Massage the stomach in circles around the navel with both hands together, bottom, left, up, right, down, left, 24 times.

Massage the kidneys with the fingers, bottom to top, 12 times.

Stretch out legs.

Massage the left knee with the right hand and the left bubbling well with the left fingers with the leg stretched out simulataneously, clockwise, 36 times.

Massage the right knee with the left hand and the right bubbling well with the right fingers with the leg stretched out simulataneously, counterclockwise, 36 times.

Take 108 steps in a circle, with the knees and arms moving high.

Now the mind is cleared and the body’s channels are open. Ready for battle.
